Program 1

Enriched Program in Music:

The Royal Conservatory of Music

Regular Program, and:

In addition, The Little School of the Crooked Row inc. offers a distinguished music program that combines the regular core academic music curriculum of the New Brunswick Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development with the renowned Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) —a prestigious Canadian institution dedicated to music education since 1886. This integration makes our music program truly distinctive within our college.  The internationally recognized RCM curriculum provides students with a rigorous foundation in classical music, thereby enriching their education while encompassing the broader framework of the Ministry’s program, which also includes jazz, modern, and contemporary music styles. RCM examination centres are available in Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton. When registration opens, students enrolled in instrumental studies can complete their practical examinations locally within the province of New Brunswick.  Thus, our students become true cultural ambassadors. ("passeurs culturels."), as music fosters their sense of identity and belonging. Programs of Study: Music, Directorate of Curriculum and Learning, Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development of New Brunswick. Through dedication and effort, students at the Little School of the Crooked Row inc. can grow into accomplished skilled musicians.

Enriched Program in:

FSL and International Languages and Literatures

Regular Program, and:

At the Little School of the Crooked Row inc., we offer an enriched and exclusive French as a Second Language (FSL) program, integrated with foreign and international language learning education.  Our mission is to broaden students’ international perspectives and help them develop their fullest human potential through the modern languages and literatures.

Our goal is for students to become bilingual in English and French from an early age, while also gaining proficiency — and potentially mastery — in a third and fourth language, such as Italian and Spanish.

Through dedication and effort, students at the Little School of the Crooked Row inc. can grow into accomplished polyglots.

Program 3

Enriched Program in:

International Experiential Trips

Regular Program, Program 1 or Program 2 and:

At the high school level, our philosophy is to empower students to think internationally and live internationally. Our enriched curriculum encourages critical thinking by comparing Canadian societal issues with those in other parts of the world. Through real-world engagement—particularly experiential volunteer work—students observe global challenges firsthand, form meaningful connections with youth abroad, and contribute actively to communities in France, Italy, and Spain.

These experiences directly support the Mission of Education outlined in the Curriculum of New Brunswick by the Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development, which is “to guide learners to achieve their full potential and contribute to a changing, productive, and democratic society.”

Through international travel and language immersion in French, Spanish, and Italian, students deepen their second-language proficiency and cultural understanding. Volunteer opportunities are organized in collaboration with trusted partners in France, with full support and guidance from our experienced educational team.

Our program is rooted in the competencies outlined by the Ministry of Education and Early Childhood Development of New Brunswick, especially the commitment to “guide students toward acquiring the skills required to learn how to learn.” By helping global communities and engaging in altruistic actions, students gain an unparalleled education that transcends the classroom.

They emerge as selfless global citizens, becoming adept navigators of a multifaceted world who actively construct their own identities through service to others. By engaging in altruistic actions and supporting global communities, these young adults develop the capacity to navigate diverse perspectives, challenges, and cultures with empathy and intentionality. In doing so, they contribute meaningfully to an ever-evolving global society while shaping their identities as compassionate and empowered world citizens.
